Roldán's Ministry of Education, together with the sculptors Sergio Sacco and Emiliano Sacco, have organized the III International Sculpture Symposium, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
Carole was one of 12 sculptors invited to participate in the Symposium, which took place 3 October – 11 October 2009. Sculptures were created in marble, wood, and metal.
"Sueño," the result of a fun nine days of carving, measures 150 x 180 x 100 / 60" x 71" x 40" marble. Originally carved with a different isntallation in mind, after seeing the sculpture turned 180° while being moved, Carole decided that she preferred the drama of this downward presentation and modified the sculpture.
The pin is very small for this sculpture (see photo) and is to be replaced. However, the sculpture is perfectly balanced with only a tiny contact point and was test placed and balanced before pinning. After being placed on the pin the sculpture was turned just enough so that the "shoulder" area locked into a carved recess in the base and was blocked by reserved stone in back.
